I know we're nearly halfway through summer, but I just listened to this podcast from popular blogger Tim Challes on how Christians can vacation well and thought it was worth sharing.

 When I was in High School I met with a group of guys every week during the school year. We called it a Covenant Group and our leader was Keith Waldrop who is now the pastor of Christ Community Church in Montgomery. Honestly, it was probably the breakfast I knew was going to be served that got me there each morning (or most mornings), but what has been a continual blessing from that group is the scripture we memorized.

 I came across a great article by Greg Bahnsen titled, "Helping the Poor Without Feeding the Beast." In it he shares ten means for caring for the poor and needy according to the Word of God. I would encourage all to consider how your life lines up with God's call in this area.
